Kissel is a very popular fruit syrup of Russian origin that is prepared by cutting the fruit and cooking it in water and then filtering the liquid and combining it with starch flour, after a short cooking it will be sweetened, cooled and served at the table; kissel is consumed especially after dinner both hot and cold.

Wash the fruit, cut it into cubes if necessary and put it in a saucepan. Add 1 liter of cold water and cook over low heat for half an hour.
